Bright Ivy announced as press partners for Bruno Heinen and Camerata Alma Viva’s new album
31 January 2017
Inspired by Vivaldi’s set of Violin Concerti, The Four Seasons, the album is a new work featuring Heinen’s own imagining of each season in his first ever score for strings. Using the Italian composers’ poems as a starting point, Heinen imagines what Vivaldi would write if he were alive today.
Recorded at the Vortex Jazz Club, London, with a live, one-take approach, typical of jazz, the project was supported mainly via a crowdfunding campaign. Changing of the Seasons is released on the Babel Label, owned by the influential jazz promoter and Vortex Jazz Club director Oliver Weinding.
