Robert Ames collaborates with Terry Riley at Barbican Centre
9 June 2015
Robert Ames and members of the London Contemporary Orchestra will perform a new work by Terry Riley at London’s Barbican centre this Summer.
Minimalist composer and electronic music pioneer Riley is presenting brand new work, created during his residence in the Gallery as part of Station to Station: A 30 Day Happening.
On the 18th July 2015 Robert Ames will conduct members of the London Contemporary Orchestra in a performance of the new works created by this exclusive and enlightening combination of residency and concert.
Riley, who celebrates his 80th birthday year in 2015, will be working in a pop-up studio for a week prior to this performance where members of the public will be able to visit Terry Riley as he writes and records material for this concert in the Station to Station studio.
Tickets for the concert can be purchased here.
